The
Neighborhood
The
famous Chicago planner, Daniel Burnham, considered this community
the Gate Way from the West to the Loop. He thus named us the West
Loop Gate.
Bounded
by the River on the east, Ashland Avenue on the west, the Eisenhower
Expressway on the south and Grand Avenue on the north, the West
Loop Gate has since become recognized for unique living quarters,
including over 6,000 loft and townhomes. Its most recognized
however, as Chicagos fine dining destination. Since 1983,
the most accomplished restaurateurs and chefs have planted their
talents in the West Loop Gate community.
Little
Italy Neighborhood
The
111 Morgan community is within walking distance of the World Famous
Taylor Street in the heart of Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood.
This area, which centers on Taylor and Racine Streets, is surrounded
by Greek Town and Chicagos Loop to the East, the University
of Illinois to the South, and the West Loop Gate Neighborhood
to the North and West. On Taylor Street, you will find a concentration
of some of the best Italian and American restaurants in Chicago,
if not the country.
The
Hospitals
The
West Loop Gate Community is immediately adjacent to the Illinois
Medical District with some of the finest hospitals in the Midwest.

The
Dining
What
was once a culinary desert is today a dynamic concentration of
dining rooms, some of which are the equal of any restaurant in
Chicago. From contemporary American to bistro French, from seafood
to sushi to down-home Southern, the West Loop Gate area has much
to offer the serious diner.
